تعد قلعة مارد في دومة الجندل بالجوف شمال المملكة، ومن أبرز المواقع العمرانية القديمة، وتبعد عن مدينة سكاكا حوالي 50 كم، بنيت القلعة من الحجارة وتتكون القلعة من سور به عدة فتحات للمراقبة وعدة أبراج بارتفاع 12 متراً، وتوجد في القلعة آبار عميقة وأدوار للحرس والرماية والمراقبة، وصمدت القلعة لصد غزو ملكة تدمر زنوبيا، وحافظت أجزاء منها على تماسكها على مر العصور، وقد ورد ذكر قلعة مارد في إحدى قصائد شاعر الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم، حسان بن ثابت (قصر دومة)
